Eradication Polio: Larkana to launch anti-polio drive

Three day anti-polio campaign to be conducted from October 24 to October 26 in Larkana.

LARKANA: District Coordination Officer (DCO) Larkana Abdul Aleem Lashari has called upon the elected representatives, NGOs, teachers, students and social workers to play their role in administering of anti-polio drops to children aged up to five years, during the three day anti-polio campaign to be conducted from October 24 to October 26 in Larkana.

He also urged officials of the District Health Department to make extensive efforts eradicate polio from the district.

He urged Health Department officials to ensure regular visits of mobile teams to the remote areas of the district and ensure no child falling in the targeted age group is left out and deprived of anti polio drops.

Earlier, Larkana Health Department Executive District Officer Dr Abdul Fateh Bughio said Larkana district has been declared as a “Polio Free District” and to maintain it all the 2,83,540 children, aged up to five years old must be monitored.
