Drunk in Cantt: ‘Hooligan’ inspector suspended

The senior superintendent of police for operations suspended an inspector who was arrested for “hooliganism”.

LAHORE: The senior superintendent of police for operations on Saturday suspended an inspector who was arrested for “hooliganism” at Kharian Cantonment.

Inspector Zubair Akhtar, a Mughapura police investigator, was sent to Kharian to look for the suspects in a murder at Shalimar Link Road, said a press release from the SSP’s office. But in Kharian, he got drunk and caused a public disturbance. He was arrested by officials of intelligence agencies and handed over to Cantonment police.
