Love Marriage: Woman kidnapped allegedly by family

Her husband was arrested by the police for firing at her wife’s family.

MULTAN: A woman, who left her home to marry a landlord a few months ago, was abducted allegedly by her family on Thursday, on her way out of the court. Her husband was arrested by the police for firing at her wife’s family. Police said that Sameera Bibi, a resident of Tatay Pur, had married Yaqub, a resident of Chak 3 Hans and a landlord of the area. They said her parents had not approved of their marriage. They said after her parents filed an abduction case against Yaqub, she had recently taken shelter in Darul Amaan. On Thursday, when both parties came out of the court, Sameera’s parents forcibly tried to take her with them. To stop them, Yaqub fired in the air, and was srrested by the security officials along with his driver. They said Sameera was taken back to Darul Amaan in Zakariya town, from where she was allegedly abducted by her relatives. On her in-laws complaint, the police have arrested three people. Police are searching for Sameera.
