Former AJK prime minister suggests intra-Kashmir conference
'If world community thinks peace should return in Afghanistan they should find solution of Kashmir issue.'

SRINAGAR: Former Azad Kashmir Prime Minister and leader of ruling Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Barrister Sultan Mehmood on Wednesday suggested holding of an intra- Kashmir conference to find a solution to Kashmir issue.
Addressing a press conference at the end of three-day visit to Indian Kashmir, he said, “The issue of intra-Kashmir dialogue should be brought up as it is important for the solution of Kashmir.”
He said that the world community is now showing more interest in Kashmir issue. “If they (world community) think that peace should return in Afghanistan then they have to find a solution of the Kashmir issue.
Mehmood, during his visit, said that he was able to know the thoughts of Kashmiri leadership. He suggested that leadership from both sides should formulate proposals on the Kashmir issue.
“My visit is a little step forward. I have come to listen and talk and I am taking a good message with me,” he added. He said that the Line of Control travel should be made smooth so that more people-to-people contact takes place.

I could not understand that why the bilatral0 issue is being related with the Afghan issue0 .In order to resolve the Kashmir issue onlý a fair and practical approach from both sides can yield a negociated result , the world community will simply appriciate any positive out come ,

I am afraid that Afghanistan problem is totally unrelated to the Kashmir issue. The only solution is to convert LoC into IB and not make it irrelevent to give open invitation to the terror elements to disturb peace in Kashmir.

First of all, AJK/PoK Prime Minister doesn’t hold any power. And then this guy is an Ex-AJK/PoK PM. I am sure his words carry a lot of weight.

The valley of kashmir needs peace and till the Indian forces commit human rights abuses the ppl of Kashmir will fight against them. Who the really terrorists the Indian armed forces or the freedom fighters!!! Well let’s check what the INDIAN human rights watch says……..
