Economic Delegation: Team leaves for WB, IMF meetings

Hafeez Shaikh left for Washington to attend the upcoming meetings of the World Bank (WB) and IMF.

ISLAMABAD: The country’s top level economic team headed by Minister for Finance and Economic Affairs Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh left for Washington to attend the upcoming meetings of the World Bank (WB) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The Ministry of Finance sources said that the delegation will participate in the WB and IMF meetings to be held from September 21 to 26. The Pakistani delegation led by Shaikh comprised of Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Dr Nadeem ul Haq, Secretary Finance Dr Waqar Masood Khan, Secretary Economic Affairs Division (EAD) Abdul Wahid Rana and State Bank of Pakistan Acting Governor Yasin Anwar.
