ISLAMABAD:

Beijing has become an economic hub and is shifting the balance of power from the west to the east, said PML-Q Secretary-General Mushahid Hussain Syed, according to a press release issued by the party’s office here.

Addressing a press conference in Nanning, China, jointly organised by the Communist Party of China and the International Conference of Asian Political Parties, he said that Asian countries should share their experiences and learn from each other, so that the “fruits of development are delivered to all.”

Syed further said that political parties from Asia need to play their role in tackling global problems such as climate change and poverty alleviation, adding that the 21st century belongs to Asia.

The conference was attended by 150 delegates from 23 political parties of 27 Asian countries.
