The role of the media (II)

KARACHI: The media has played an outstanding role in the past few years. Many journalists sacrificed their lives to cover live events, and ought to be respected for that. However, it should be remembered that with great power comes great responsibility. The media must be very careful in their reporting. At times there is live coverage of terrorist incidents which are psychologically disturbing. As a concerned citizen I am writing to alert the concerned authorities to prevent videos of bloodshed from being aired live on television.
