ISLAMABAD: Chairman of the Intellectual Property Organisation(IPO)-Pakistan Hameedullah Jan Afridi has said that a new culture of IP rights protection would be introduced to curb piracy. Talking to members of various delegations here on Wednesday, he said that after consultation with stakeholders and the business community, efforts were being made to improve the service delivery system of registries besides the promulgation of laws to curb the menace of piracy. “We are determined to provide a fair business atmosphere to all business entrepreneurs by strict enforcement of relevant laws,” he added. Afridi said local and foreign investment could only be enhanced by ensuring protection of intellectual property rights.
