KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement coordination Committee member Waseem Aftab on Friday said that 143 MQM party workers have been killed in incidents of target killing from January 2009 to June 2010.

While adressing a press conference at the Karachi Press Club, Aftab said that MQM workers are being killed in Karachi to damage the political standing of the party and disrupt peace in the city.

Aftab has appealed to the prime minister, interior minister, governor of Sindh and the home minister to take notice of the killings.

He also claimed that the people behind the target killings in Karachi have support of the land and drug mafia.

In fact most of the people in all four provinces are peace loving but some miscreants patronized by short sighted, biased, prejudiced and half educated so-called leaders spark violence among different ethnic group by their venomous speech. Now the fate of Pakistan is in the hands of its people either they follow them or to stand unite against these leaders and get rid of them.
saad ahmed | 13 years ago | Reply All the tv channels n talk shows have given hundreds of hours to the target killings in karachi but no discussion or even mention of punjabis in balochistan. Why this hypocrisy? we have had innumerable talk shows, news reports on the grievances of the baloch ppl, which is a fair thing to do but then nothing is said about the deliberate ethnic cleansing of punjabis from balochistan.Tens of thousands of punjabis have been forced to migrate from balochistan, but no one has interviewed them,no articles written on their plight. Why has the pakistani media been treating punjabis as less than human? Their murder is not murder, their ethnic cleansing not a crime??
