Nawaz Sharif agreed to pardon Musharraf, claims Dasti

Published: June 18, 2010

PPP MNA Jamshed Dasti claims that PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif agreed not to punish Musharraf.

PPP MNA Jamshed Dasti said on Friday that PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif was involved in an agreement to pardon former President Pervez Musharraf.

Dasti made these claims while addressing the National Assembly session. He alleged that Sharif agreed not to punish the former general. He urged the PML-N leader to make these details public.

The statements came one day after Sharif urged all parlaimentarians holding fake degrees to voluntarily resign, and save themselves from disgrace.

Dasti’s degree proved to be false in a court of law.

It seems that views of Mr. Jamshed Dasti seems to be his personal views nd not of the views of Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif.

Probably, Mr. Jamshed Dasti would like to become a mediator between Mian Mohhamd Nawaz Sharif and General (R) Pervez Musharraf to end the row.

I do not think that Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif will agree to pardon General (R) Pervez Mushharf when the former President ousted an elected Prime Minister and sent him to Saudi Arabia in exile.

Now General (R) Pervez Musharraf has also announced his own faction group, Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif will take a hard stance against General (R) Pervez Musharraf in the forthcoming elections and may invite Chaudhry’s of Gujrat either to join PML(N) or contest the next elections after having seats adjustment between PML(N) and PML(Q.

It is hard to digest that Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif may pardon General (R) Pervez Musharraf when Mian Mohammad Shabaz Sharif was returned twice from Pakistan and both the brother could not attend the Namaz-e-Janaza of their beloved father Mian Sharif in Pakistan while the entire family was in exile.

Mr. Jamshed Dasti should weigh his words before uttering the same. Now he should prove through his statements that graduate degree was not necessary for him. He is a seasoned politician and more intelligent than a graduate degree holder.Recommend

Well who cares what Dasti said. I am sure if a person from PML N would have found holding fake degree in court, PMLN would have struck him out of the party. And here we see him getting much better positions after one of his degree proved fake. When a person is proved to be involved in such activities, there is no need to listen to what he says because it might possibly be lies.Recommend

Probably Sharif brothers have seen the bubble bursting up. They were 100 percent sure of their success in coming elections whether pro zardari or against him but fate had something else in hold, and recent crisis plus PML N own fake degree holders has led the popularity graph down with the speed of bullet. Am sure if Nawaz Sharif agrees on forgiving Musharraf, he is being far sighted.Recommend

Dasti is awesome. He gets away with a fake degree. And now when Nawaz Sharif talks about fake degrees he wants to get back at him. He truly deserves to be our next president. He has the quality a true Pakistani leader requires.

See you in the President’s house some day, Mr Dasti.Recommend

No, i am disagree with the statement
issued on behalf of Mr. Dusti
on the floor of the Parliament.

    When we see back
    when we see disputes
created between them in that time
when we see the behave of MUsharraf and sharif’s agony
and exile in foreign country for long time
we come to the conclusion that
pardon on behalf of Mian Nawaz to a dictator is impossible.Recommend

Very well said ” Nawaz Sharif was not sent to Saudi Arabia, he went there himself”. Mr. Mateen needs to correct his impression about his leader, who even to date cannot spend 1 night in hardship for the sake of this country (if a situation arises). NS is no match to the closest definition of a leader.Recommend

We are still in premature stages in all walks of life since existance of the country. Our pillars of the state have committed blunders in the past, we are facing so far. But they are growing gradually now. We as a nation have no experience to have repentance what we do.
We struggle to prove ourselves right in all circumtances. I think need of the day is to confess false doings and our rulers should take first step.

The Sharif brothers must act to erase the perception of them being closet Taliban-sympathisers. Shahbaz’s appeal to the terrorists some months ago asking them not to commit violence in Punjab remains a big question mark. They must know that they can no longer run with the hare and hunt with the hound. While they are now very vocal in condemning dictators they seem to be conveniently forgetting that the family’s foray into politics was made possible by a former ISI chief, General Jilani. The Sharifs thrived under Zia’s rule and remain close friends with the likes of Hamid Gul.Recommend

The Sharifs will never pardon Commando Musharraf. Yes, if there are behind the scenes somersaults (backward / forward), like the sudden headlines in the newspapers that the Sharifs are being exiled to Saudi Arabia and will not return for ten years, the Commando aka Tabalchi Musharraf will return.
As for Jamil Dasti. The less said the better. Shame on the educated lot of Pakistanis to even take time-out to think of this POP-EYE.

What’s your definition of manhood anyway?
Doing whats logical and rational does not make you any less of a man.
I would have sided by any politician be it Zardari, Altaf Hussain or even Musharraf if they did the same as what Nawaz Sharif did in his defence.
