LAHORE: Judicial Magistrate Malik Shafique on Monday extended the 14-day judicial remand of the seven people allegedly involved in the illegal organ transplants and directed police officials to submit the challan.

According to police, one Muhammad Riaz complained that on June 30 he met with Muhammad Younis and told him that he needed money but had no source of income. Younis told him he would be paid well if he was willing to donate his kidney for a transplant. He said he was taken to a house in Faisal Town where a doctor told him that he would get Rs0.11 million for his kidney. He said he agreed initially but got scared later and raised a ruckus whereby locals came and rescued him.
