MUMBAI:

Pakistani pop star and actor Ali Zafar, who will perform live along with Bollywood actors Katrina Kaif and Imran Khan to promote Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, is set to burn up a lot of energy at rehearsals.

Zafar, who is a seasoned stage performer, said, “Yes, that’s the plan. I have been told Katrina and Imran will be joining me on stage. Agreed, they are not musicians but, at the end of the day, we’re all performers and part of one project. We start as soon as I return to India.”

He has been asked by producers Yashraj Films to help Katrina and Imran acclimatise themselves to live performances.

“Maybe my unique selling proposition is live singing. But they will take to the stage quickly. I know we’ll have fun,” he added.

Zafar was recently voted the hottest male actor of 2011 in a survey. Reportedly, the singer’s closest competitor Ranveer Singh was upset about losing the crown to Zafar. “I’ve met Ranveer. He was extremely sweet and nice. He’s super-talented. I wish him all the best,” said Zafar, switching on his diplomatic side.

He confirmed that he will be in India soon to star in another film. “Before I do David Dhawan’s Chashme Buddoor, I have signed another film in Mumbai.
