Negotiations: ‘Pakistan supports Afghan-led peace’

The next meeting of the joint Pakistan-Afghanistan commission for peace will be held in Islamabad in August.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has reaffirmed its support for the Afghan-led and owned peace and reconciliation process in the first meeting of a joint Pakistan-Afghanistan commission for peace. In the meeting, held on Wednesday in Kabul, participants from both delegations decided to set up specialised working groups to deliberate in-depth on aspects related to peace and suggested concrete steps to move forward in a responsible manner. The Pakistani delegation was led by Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir while the Afghan delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Jawed Ludin. The next meeting of the commission will be held in Islamabad in August.

AnisAqeel | 12 years ago | Reply We don't have any choice left otherwise and we are on our knees due to not being sincere and faithful with ourselves or with others. Our military with compulsive gambling will be humiliated and as a nation we are going to be disgraced unless we rapidly change ourselves without any ego but with moral courage. Have moral courage and change to save the left over, although it is very difficult to do.
