SUKKUR:

The kidnapping of Naziran, a woman from the Shar clan led to the kidnapping of five other women.

Her husband, Sono Shar, held Suhno Bozadar responsible. On Wednesday, Mai Azmat and Mai Adi from the Bozdar clan were on their way to Jamal Bozdar village when armed Shar clansmen kidnapped them near Khanpur Mahar. The women, with the help of Sardar Ali Gohar Mahar, were returned to their clan leaders on Thursday.

As a result of the kidnappings, members of the Bozdar clan raided a Shar locality near Ghotki bypass and held the residents hostage. The armed men injured three women and a minor girl, and kidnapped Sohand, wife of Rafiq Shar and Mai Hakim wife of Arbelo Shar.

Sources said SP Investigation Ghotki Yar Mohammad Rind had been appointed to discuss the situation with the clan leaders to avoid further bloodshed. Rind met with Sardar Ali Gohar Mahar, Sardar Ahmed Yar Shar and Sardar Rahim Bux Bozdar. As a result, all five kidnapped women were handed over to the respective families. Sources added that so far no case had been registered. Rind confirmed the recovery of the kidnapped women and said that a case had been filed against members of both tribes.
