LAHORE: The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) and the Ikhwanul Muslimoon of Egypt have decided to make joint efforts to promote the ‘true image’ of Islam, said a press release issued by the JI media office. The parties have also decided to work together to find solutions to problems faced by Muslims around the world. During a meeting on Wednesday between the leaders of both parties at the Ikhwanul Muslimoon headquarters, the parties also decided to strengthen relations between Islamic movements in different countries and to negate anti-Islam propaganda. A three-member delegation, led by JI Chief Syed Munawwar Hasan, is currently on a four day visit to Egypt, on the invitation of the Ikhwanul Muslimoon.
