Nurses Day: SIUT offers free medical camps

Speaker suggests improving curriculum and standards of training to overcome challenges in the field.

Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) offered free medical checkups and diet consultations to mark International Nurses Day on Wednesday. Closing the gap to increase access and equity was the theme for the international event this year.


Appreciating the services provided by nurses in his welcome address, Prof. Adibul Hasan Rizvi said they are truly an integral part of the healthcare system. Their role is important to bring about change on the individual and collective level, he added.

Prof. Rizvi suggested improving the curriculum and standards of training for nurses in order to overcome challenges faced by them. A tableau and poster exhibition were also included in the programme.
