Police remove bomb from Jafarabad railway track

JAFARABAD: Police foiled an attempt to target a passenger train by removing a remote control bomb near the track on Tuesday.

The 40 kilogram remote control bomb was planted on a railways track near Jafarabad.

The bomb was planted by unidentified terrorists in the vicinity of the Saddar police station in Dir Murad Jamali.

The Jaffarabad Express was scheduled to cross that area from where the bomb was found.

The bomb disposal squad removed the bomb and cleared the track for the train's safe passage.

A case has been registered by the police against unidentified persons under the Terrorism Act.
