Johann Olav Koss, a famous world athlete and CEO of “Right To Play”, said women in Pakistan should participate more in sports.

Koss said Pakistan has a lot of talented young girls whose leadership skills can be polished to a great extent by participating in sports.

He said this while delivering a lecture at Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) on Friday, said a press release.

Koss said his organisation, by fostering self-esteem, has challenged gender equity and increased social networking on its list of agenda.

He informed the audience about the organisation’s current programmes and said they hoped to achieve their objectives with the support of other institutions.

FJWU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Samina Amin Qadir welcomed the guests and said that in the changing global environment even though women are competing in all fields including sports, they are still to make an impact on policy changes in the public and private sector.

In the end, Prof. Qadir presented a university souvenir to Koss as a token of appreciation.
