Zawahiri vows jihad in Bin Laden eulogy

Ayman al-Zawahiri, al Qaeda’s long-time number two, has vowed in a video eulogy to Osama bin Laden that he will pursue his late leader’s jihad against the West, SITE Intelligence Group reported on Wednesday.
“We will pursue the jihad until we expel the invaders from Muslim lands,” he was quoted as saying in the eulogy to Bin Laden who was killed in a top-secret US raid in Abbottabad on May 2.
“The man who terrified America in his life will continue to terrify it after his death,” he added in the video message titled “The Noble Knight Dismounted,” which SITE said was posted on jihadist online forums.
“You will continue to be troubled by his famous vow: You shall not dream of security until we enjoy it and until you depart the Muslims’ lands,” added the Egyptian militant, who was in white garb and a turban with a machinegun behind him. He vowed to make sacrifices needed to “deprive America of security”.
Zawahiri also vowed allegiance to the leader of Taliban Mullah Omar. “We renew our allegiance to the leader of believers, Mullah Omar,” said Zawahiri speaking of the reclusive leader who has a $10-million US bounty on his head.
“We promise him obedience… in jihad for Allah and to set up Sharia [Islamic] law,” he added.

I thought that two thirds of Pakistanis did not believe OBL was in an army base and was killed by the brave US soldiers? Why are seeing his eulogy by his closest associates? US president would not come out specially to announce a lie. It is not Pakistani dictators who have won 1971 war against India and did not lose half the country. ISI is still innocent of all the allegations. If you don’t believe me, ask them. It is not the US but our army which has broken the back of the terrorists. Don’t believe me, ask the army chief?

It’s just more of the same. The same old threats for years. No change in action or intensity, just saying it a little bit differently. I almost wish they would actually do something significant for once. I’m tired of the accidental black eyes I give myself face-palming every time I read something they say.
The use of the word “terrified” is amusing. That’s not why someone is called a terrorist. It’s their intent to terrify that causes the label. Not because they actually are terrifying people. I have yet to see any terror in America. I’ve seen a lot of anger, though.
Though it’s tragic they harm anyone at all… I wonder if they realize their own track record for making good on their threats to America. The only thing they do is attack other people hoping they blame America for it anymore.
I also enjoy the fact I’ve recently seen the word “coward” thrown around by them. Personally, I don’t see anyone hiding from them. The drones are happening because they refuse to stop hiding. I think everyone would much prefer they just come out and do it face to face already. The cat is never the coward in a cat and mouse game.
I’d also like to know just how they’re so certain in the martyrdom. I could have sworn it’s not the people who bestow such a title. If your beliefs aren’t perfectly in line, it just means you’re a blasphemous liar.Recommend
