Showing Off Mangoes: 3-day fruit display begins on June 24

The district government and Agriculture Department will jointly arrange the event.

RAHIM YAR KHAN: A three-day annual display of the finest varieties of mangoes in Pakistan will be held from June 24 to June 26 in the district.  District Officer Agriculture Javed Iqbal told reporters on Tuesday, that this event was first held in 2002 and was an extremely popular event in the district. “This is one of the largest mango shows held in the country,” he said, adding that thousands usually attended the annual event that showcased nearly every variety of mango sold in Pakistan, as well as those that were reserved for export. The district government and Agriculture Department will jointly arrange the event at the Sheikh Zayed Auditorium and has also made arrangements for food stalls at the venue.
