The Sindh assembly approved the formation of the Sindh Revenue Board.
The Sindh Assembly unanimously approved a bill for the establishment of the Sindh Revenue Board on Thursday.
According to the bill, the Sindh Revenue Board will collect Sales Tax on services being offered in the province.
The board will comprise eight members and the Chief Minister of Sindh will chair the board.
CM Sindh Qaim Ali Shah said the province needed an autonomous institution like the revenue board in order to collect taxes in a transparent manner. He said the GST collections will be used to finance a mega water and power project.
