Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi and India’s Rohan Bopann moved on to Men’s Double quarter-finals on Monday, beating Kazakhstan’s Andrey Golubev and Uzbekistan’s Denis Istomin 6-3, 7-5.
Previously on Friday, Qureshi and Bopanna fought their way in to the third round of French Open men’s doubles after beating Argentine Maximo Gonzalez and Japan’s Kei Nishikori in a thrilling three-setter.
Earlier this month the duo made headway in the ATP rankings with Qureshi rising to a career-best 10 from 12 with 4080 points in the ATP doubles rankings.
Qureshi’s Indian partner, Rohan Bopanna achieved his career-best rank of 11 from 13 in the ATP doubles chart with 4050 points.
Rohan Bopanna and Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi are now at number seven in doubles team rankings with 1,575 points.
