Pak-Afghan leaders reiterate need for achieving regional security

Over the course of time, Islamabad and Kabul have experienced stable and rocky relationships.

Earlier this year, the neighbouring nations agreed on seven principals under the Afghanistan Pakistan Action Plan for Peace and Solidarity (APAPPS) initiative to help eliminate terrorism and achieve peace, stability, prosperity and development.

The initiative provides a framework to strengthen mutual trust and deepen interaction in all spheres of bilateral engagements. It is also a mechanism for finding solutions to bilateral areas of concern.
