KARACHI: The Sindh government has told all district coordination officers (DCO) to provide the details of registered transgenders pursuant to the Supreme Court’s landmark decision to grant them the right to have computerised national identity cards (CNICs).

Talking to The Express Tribune, Bebo Hyder, a transgender, said that she was happy with the decision to allow a third gender category (male or female) on the card.

“Since the ruling no one has approached us. But all our data is with our organisation that works for transgenders’ rights,” Bebo said.
