Better than lies, is, though, deathly silence.
CHANTILLY, VA, US: This is with reference to Saroop Ijaz’s article of May 27 titled “Please, lie to us”.
The fact of the matter is that we have been told lies about Liaquat Ali Khan, East Pakistan, Ziaul Haq, Murtaza Bhutto, Shahnawaz Bhutto, Akbar Bugti, Kargil and Benazir. And it is quite likely that we will be told lies about Abbottabad and PNS Mehran as well.
Even in the boring field of economics, the same holds true. Better than lies, is, though, deathly silence.
