Appeal: 10-year-old needs help with cancer treatment

Ten-year-old Sheez Tariq diagnosed with rare type of bone cancer, Osteosarcoma, needs Rs200,000 before Monday, May 30.

Ten-year-old Sheez Tariq, who has been diagnosed with a rare type of bone cancer, Osteosarcoma, needs help.


He being treated at the Children Cancer Hospital in Nazimabad. His father has been jobless for over three years now and all their savings have been consumed so far in the diagnosis and early treatment.

According to the doctor, the chemotherapy is showing positive results but it is costing much more than the family can afford. His hip bone, left leg and chest have been affected. Sheez is scheduled for a major surgery (in the first week of June) and subsequent chemotherapy sessions.

This will cost Rs200,000 which is desperately needed before Monday, May 30. Zakat is applicable. The Express Tribune has verified that Sheez is a patient and is being treated at the hospital.
