Rightwing religious parties say CIA, RAW, Mossad behind Karachi attack. PHOTO: REUTERS/FILE
The heads the Jamaat-i-Islami, the Jamaatud Dawa and the Sunni Ittehad Council believe that agents from the United States, Israel or India or all three were behind the attack on the Pakistan Navy airbase in Karachi, not Al Qaeda or the Taliban.
In a statement issued on Monday, JD chief Hafiz Muhammad Saeed said India and America were trying to isolate Pakistan further in the international community by creating unrest in the country.
He said such attacks were a result of the “friendship” between Pakistan’s rulers and the US. He said no Pakistani city was safe while American forces were present in the country.
JI chief Syed Munawar Hasan said that the attack on the PNS Mehran was a well-organised act of terrorism and US, Indian and Israeli involvement could not be ruled out. “While the foreign hand is playing with Pakistan’s existence, our intelligence agencies are busy securing US targets and Interior Minister Rehman Malik is defending them by blaming every terrorist activity on Al Qaeda and the Taliban,” he said.
Hasan said this was the biggest attack on Pakistan’s military since the assault on General Headquarters in Rawalpindi.
“The enemy is trying to destabilise this country in order to deprive us of our independence and sovereignty,” he said.
Hasan said that the attack represented a “complete security failure” at the naval base. “It seems that there is no one to defend this country and the enemy can attack anywhere and at any time,” he said.
He said Malik had always denied that mercenaries from private security firm Blackwater, now knows as XE, were present in Pakistan, but the frequent terrorist attacks here proved that the US Central Intelligence Agency, Blackwater and Indian intelligence had established networks in the country.
Sunni Ittehad Council chairman Sahibzada Fazle Karim announced a countrywide protest for May 27.
He said the Indian Research and Analysis Wing, Israel’s Mossad, and the CIA were responsible for the attack.
He said the civil and military leadership must take measures to secure the country.

Bars boycott court over Karachi terror attack
most of our population is still in denial.we had dozens of socalled experts, analysts who were invited to come & spew wild, idiotic conspiracy theories on tv channels. We can’t seem to bring ourselves to talk about the root of this terrorism, i.e., religion.Religion has so warped our minds that it has rendered us incapable of thinking rationally.
We do all we can to deflect blame onto everything else just so we can avoid talking about the religious text promising 72 virgins to those who kill other people,we delude ourselves to believe that our next 7 generations will go to heaven simply because we have rattafied religious text in a foreign language.Recommend
@arshad: We have a habit of living in a self denial. To every view no matter, how much correct it is, if it is against our view, we call it conspiracy theory, like you did. Taliban , ie tribe person can never knew which type of plane they have to attack but the attacker know. The way they fight only commandos can fight. Truly they were Indian not TalibanRecommend
I totally agree with the above. We are a nation in denial to keep blaming our issues on others. The religious parties have made this country into a hotbed of terrorism and illiteracy. As they are illiterate, they prefer to keep everyone like that by blowing up schools. What is even more pathetic is that a lot of educated people follow these illiterates. Take for example, Imran Khan who has shown his hypocrisy by telling us not to accept US aid and go on self reliance, and in todays newspaper he is standing there taking a cheque for his hospital from Chevron (an american company). Aid is acceptable if it is going to him but not to the country.
We as a nation should grow up and shun these religious parties totally.Recommend
@Usman Shahid:
I feel sorry and ashamed because of these people who continue to befool the public by blaming others for their own actions..Recommend
Lol….what do you expect a terrorist accused of masterminding the killing of Indians and Israelis (Hafiz Sayed) to say except what he said ?Recommend
Better late than never.Recommend
So anyone who condemn India and Israel is state of denial and anyone who sets conspiracies against Taliban is actually living in real world. No wonder sky is the only limit of your ignoranceRecommend

Even countries like USA couldnt getrid of religious influence.Recommend
Atleast all those who have commented so far are better off in their head.

Is it not possible for TTP or any other terrorist organization to take payments from foreign investors to destabilize Pakistan? I mean CIA, RAW or Mossad may be involved in these barbaric attacks on Pakistan but TTP might just be getting paid to claim responsibility. Obviously by taking responsibility TTP is showing the world they’re there to harm Pakistan and this way no one else thinks of others to blame. I wouldn’t rule this out. In the world of conspiracy I’m sure what I’ve mentioned isn’t unheard of.Recommend
The dead attackers were all uncircumcised, wore daggers and one even had an “Ek-Onkar” dangling from his neck, proving beyond doubt that this was the act of Sikh Indian commandos. When will our Army wake up to this threat and take necessary action against India? This is an act of war, and should have been immediately met with a nuclear missile launch against the targets we have already delineated. The Indian “2nd-strike” capability is a hoax and does not exist.Recommend
There is a very simple litmus test to establish foreign role or prove it the work of home grown ideologically charged barbarians.
Let Jamaat-e- Islami, JUI, TTP, Hafiz Saeed and other similar religious parties / personalities swore on Holy Quran that people directly and indirectly involved in sympathising / planning / funding / execution and condoning such acts (at least in Pakistan) are Wajib-ul-Qatal. Their Namaaz-Janaza is invalid and the persons killed shall go to HELL. The condemnation should be unconditional without any ifs and butts and action / reaction theories.I bet my life they wont do it.Recommend
Typical Pakistani response – not much different than the OBL debacle where rather than focusing on why OBL was comfortably living in the shadow of your military academy you choose to rant about the American’s violating your “sovereignty”.
One of the reasons that corrupt and inept people keep political/military roles after these debacles is the fact that they can always throw a bogeyman/red herring conspiracy theory in the water and the people will take the bait every time. Until you stop taking that bait nothing is going to change..Recommend
All those living in denial are invited to respond to my simple query. It is not inconceivable that TTP is being funded and directed by RAW / MOSSAD / CIA etc etc. But the TTP spokesmen, facilitators, brain washers, those providing transport / accommodation, sympathisers and above all attackers are 100% Pakistani (at least mostly) . No Indian or non muslim can wear a suicide jacket. My question is whats stopping the religious parties / personalities to declare them Kafir and Wajib-ul-Qatal for creating FASAD / Mayhem in muslim society. Why dont they demand that such elements should be crushed with an iron hand irrespective with religious pretensions. You cannot sympathise with these elements for championing the cause of Shariah and anti imperialism but diverting the blame for their atrocities to foreign elements. How long we are going to put up with this hypocracy? WAKE UP FOR GOD’s SAKERecommend
@Raza:
Dear Brother please respond to my previous posts. I have an open mind and do not rule out any conspiracy. All I want is declaration of war against those doing it / supporting it / condoning it whether they are the RAW / MOSSAD / CIA agents or doing it on their own. We do not want to confront the so called agents of external enemies present in our neighbourhoods but want to go after INDIA / USA / ISRAEL.Recommend
Why these people and parties spews lies in the cloak of religion. Islam, prohibits talking in vain and without accusing any one without evidence. These, outfits have twice as much responsibility compared to a common man, who may be ignorent. Liiving in denial does not bode well for the nation as a whole. These, attitudes are not at all helpful for the religion they profess to represent, or the country. Hate is a disease, let it not cloud your judgement or truth.Recommend
Another day another attack. And TTP says these are small attacks. Bigger yet to come. The day that the idiots in denial will shut up is the day they get blown up by an even bigger lunatic.
I don’t know if I or my family are going to survive the next time we go out of the house. And if we don’t do anything about this situation, then we are all just waiting around to get killed a day not too far ahead.
If I was in power right now, I would ask the US and India to help us get out of this mess and launch a full scale attack on all militant positions. Do it now before more streets get bathed in blood.Recommend
“The day that the idiots in denial will shut up is the day they get blown up by an even bigger lunatic.”
I am afraid that seems like a pipe dream. We shall die facing our brotherly militants while blaming RAW / ISI / MOSSAD etc. Look at Fazlul-Rehman twice surviving attacks from Taliban and still unable to unconditionally condemn them and asking GOP to go after them with iron hands.Recommend
The culprits are terrorists and their sympathizers in the Navy. There is no point blaming anyone else. This problem needs to be dealt with. The blood of brave journalists should not be spent in vain.Recommend
