QUETTA: A female school teacher was gunned down by unidentified armed men in Balnigore area of Kech district.

Official sources said that the tragic incident took place late on Saturday night in Shai Seechi village of Balnigore area. Armed men barged into the house of the school teacher and opened fire on her with automatic weapons.

As a result of the firing, the teacher, who was identified as Bilqees Anwar, died on the spot.

The Levies force personnel along with Balnigore Naib Tehsildar Abdul Rehman Baloch rushed to the site soon after receiving information about the incident and shifted the body to district hospital Turbat.

“She has seven bullets on different parts of her body which caused her instant death,” Baloch said, adding that the reason behind the killing was not known yet. She was known as Bilqees Baji and was a teacher at the Government Girls School Balnigore.

Sources said that armed men came from the mountainous Shai Seechi area on motorcycles. They barged into the house of the female teacher, committed the crime and managed to escape.

Security forces has cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to trace the attackers. No one has claimed responsibility for killing the female teacher.
