If not, well, look no further. Pakistani-Norwegian makeup artist, Huma Sharif has made a video wherein she dons a series a of desi looks dating from 1910 to 2018, portraying a century of changing fashion and beauty trends.

Compiled from the Oslo-based cosmetologist's Instagram handle, here is a pictorial journey through the different looks Pakistani women have rocked over the last 100 years.
1910
PHOTO: INSTAGRAM/ HUMA SHARIFSeems like simplicity was key back in the 1910s as other than the black eyeliner, the makeup and eyebrows have been kept minimal. Understated jewellery was also the way to go – with one piece of accessory being more than enough.
1920
PHOTO: INSTAGRAM/ HUMA SHARIFChannelling late fashion icon Audrey Hepburn’s appearance, this was clearly the year of dramatic lips, beauty spots and defined brows. Chunky accessories and pearls seemed to have been a woman’s best friend. A braided updo completed the look!
1930

The 1930s look is definitely reminding us of today – with models sporting oversized jewellery pieces and sets at fashion weeks lately. And modern brides opting for the traditional nath at their events.
1940
PHOTO: INSTAGRAM/ HUMA SHARIFThis was a life-changing decade for many Indians who went on to become Pakistanis. Minimal makeup, conservative clothing and traditional jewellery were all the rage during the 1940s. A side parting and a neat bun seemed to be leading the pack.
1950
PHOTO: INSTAGRAM/ HUMA SHARIFLong hair, heavy jewellery and big lashes are once again reminiscent of the Mehndi brides of today. Muted makeup was still popular, coupled with heavier jewellery as compared to the 1910s. Jhoomars and jhumkas were the ruling fad.
1960
PHOTO: INSTAGRAM/ HUMA SHARIFA reminder of the late madam Noor Jehan, the 1960s introduced the bold winged eyeliner, dramatic updos and heavy outfits. High neck kurtas, flowers in the hair and traditional jewellery such as the Hindustani saath lara haar made for the perfect fashion statement.
1970
PHOTO: INSTAGRAM/ HUMA SHARIFThe winged eye liner stayed through to the 1970s, this time with a pop of pink blush, teased hair and bright coloured clothing. Messy braids, big teekas, gota work and kiran on dupattas are once again an inspiration for shaadi-goers today.
1980

While the previous decades witnessed little to no makeup, women started experimenting with eye shade, lip colour as well as blush-on. A bright pout and colourful eye shadow became makeup essentials. Prints became more popular and women sported shorter quiffed hair with minimal jewellery.
1990

Smokey eyes, deep lips and glamorous attires were frequent occurrences. The hair was still short but curls were on trend throughout the decade.
2000
PHOTO: INSTAGRAM/ HUMA SHARIFThis was the time when millennials completely overlooked the ‘less is more’ concept and began experimenting with anything and everything. Therefore, the 2000s saw a lot of jewellery, loads of sparkle with flared and skinny jeans together.
2018
PHOTO: INSTAGRAM/ HUMA SHARIFShine on! Overuse of highlighter seems to be the up-and-coming trend. This year is all about being chic and sleek. Tassels, funky silhouettes, asymmetric cuts, and embellished overcoats are the way forward. Pastel shades of nail colour are definitely a 2018 favourite.
