Kasab on Bin Laden’s death: ‘Toh main kya karoun?’

Ajmal Amir Kasab, a Pakistani convicted in 26/11 terror attacks, was not aware of Bin Laden’s death till the jail staff told him how the al Qaeda chief was killed in a US operation, The Times of India reported on Thursday.

When jailors told Kasab about Bin Laden’s death, he replied: “Toh main kya karoon?” (So, what can I do?)

Soon after, he had a volley of questions for the jail staff: “Is he really dead? Who killed him? Where was he killed? Was he alone then?” He seemed desperate to know about Bin Laden’s death, said a jail source.

Kasab is lodged in a high-security cell in Mumbai Central prison. He cannot talk to anyone. He overheard the jail staff while standing near the door of his cell.

The policemen had a Marathi newspaper. They gave it to Kasab when asked for it, said the source. Though he could not read the Marathi newspaper, he looked at it closely. Kasab was caught on November 27, 2008 at Mumbai’s Girgaum Chowpatty. He is lodged in a 6x10 feet cell away from other prisoners.

MUST Read all indian and pakis | 12 years ago | Reply @to all my Indian brothers and sisters: Forget about history think about the future. we have very similar problems because we spend alot on our armed forces. if we settle every dispute, the budget that we (and you) spend on our armies could be spent on development. If that is done, i feel that it would hardly take 10 years for india to become a super power and a developed nation and almost 15 years for pakistan to become one also. now the youth of the both countries have to decide if they wish to fight and endless battle or join hands against hunger, poverty, crime, terrorism (by fanatic and lunatic muslims and hindus both), disease, etc. what say you?

This dudes only on his way to the gallows so soon after because there was no need for a lengthy trial as the whole world saw what he did, no denying it, nothing more needed. You can keep denying the problem but it exists. If no one (or a very small minority (2%-3% ) ) treated them (killers) as heroes, then your argument might hold some water. So according to you, every day a muslim does not do something evil, it should be a headline in every newspaper/news channel ?

Only people who do such stuff are highlighted by the media. What about the millions of Muslims who live their lives by the true teachings of Islam and doesn’t harm a soul? I have never seen a headline a normal Muslim doing something good because it wouldn’t sell. In these times we all need to be tolerant specially Muslims because it’s up to us to show what a true Muslim is. One man's wrong deed doesn’t represent the whole faith! Let’s try to understand that.
