Gasoline prices in US is average $1.03 Per liter ( Rs.87 )

    http://www.eia.doe.gov/oilgas/petroleum/datapublications/wrgp/mogashomepage.html

    1 US gallon = 3.78541178 liters

Now in Pakistan, it will more then the price in US.

Now salary difference of a common man in both countries.

    Average salary in US = about $ 4500 ( Rs. 382500)
    Average salary in Pakistan = $ 353 ( Rs. 30000 )

This government has linked every commodity price with international market but salary not linked.Recommend

Listen people – we should now learn to live with high petrol prices. We import crude at international prices – just live with it. Not every other thing that the government does not have to be wrong.Recommend

The price of oil is going up all over the world. So is gold. What is wrong with people in Pakistan who don’t understand that if global prices go up – it follows that prices in Pakistan will also go up!Recommend

could anyone pls tell me…how much subsidy is given on petroleum products in Pakistan? and do the provinces also tax these products?

in India, cost of petrol and petroleum products costs vary from state to state depending on the local taxes. and this gives rise to ridiculously humorous scenes at some places…..

just to share an example with you guys…. last time I was visiting Assam in north east India.I was intriduged when our taxi driver got the tank filled not in Assam but about twenty metres across the road in Meghalaya state
and the price difference…almost three rupees per litre….
Assam is losing quite a bit of revenue due to the price differential. but for some unexplained reasons refuses to reduce the taxes….Recommend

Pakistan economy has seen the worst after floods etc, it will do far better as predicted by many factors.

Our Judiciary had enough too, Supreme court has forced many crooks to return 1000s of Billions of rupees in last two years. It is planning to tighten the noose around some people in sitting government. Pakistan’s economy will shoot up after September this year. Recommend

Petrol prices are jumping every now and then which ordinary people cannot afford to buy.

Pakistani scientist should start working on the other options so that vehicles should run on some other type of fluid, the price of which should be quite cheaper comparing to the prices of petrol, diesel or the CNG so that an ordinary person in the country should be able to afford it.

If people will leave buying expensive petrol, diesel or CNG, the prices of commodities in daily use will also come down simultaneously. Recommend
