Regional Languages: Two books in Khowar launched

In a bid to preserve the local language of Chitral, two books written in the Khowar language were launched.

CHITRAL: In a bid to preserve the local language of Chitral, two books written in the Khowar language were launched on Monday.

The first consists of old Chitrali folk songs while the second is a poetry anthology. The launch ceremony was held in Chitral Town Hall.

Prominent educationist and retired Principal Mukaram Shah was chief guest.

Speakers presented their papers and comments on the books, showing great appreciation for the efforts taken in writing books in Khowar.
