SHC accepts petition in acquital of police in Murtaza Bhutto murder case

PPP Shaheed Bhutto group challenged the session court verdict in High Court 16 months ago.

KARACHI: Sindh High Court accepted the petition filed against acquittal of Police officials in Mir Murtaza Bhutto's murder case hearing on Thursday.

The petition has been filed against the acquittal of police officials including Shoaib Suddle, Wajid Durrani, and Rai Tahir.

Earlier a Sessions Court in Karachi had acquitted former Intelligence Bureau (IB) Chairman Masood Sharif, Shoaib Suddle, Wajid Durrani and Rai Tahir in the Murtaza Bhutto murder case.

Pakistan People’s Party Shaheed Bhutto group (PPP-SB) has challenged the session court verdict in the High Court 16 months ago. It was finally accepted on Thursday.

The court has summoned the applicants and respondents at the next hearing.
