LAHORE:

Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif announced yesterday that a state of the art liver transplant and urology institute would be established at the site where Zeenat Laboratory had been located on Lawrence Road. The CM was presiding over a meeting on Thursday.

Sharif said that state land worth billions of rupees had been recovered in the anti-encroachment drive, including the land where Zeenat Laboratory used to stand. It had been decided, he added, that a centre for the treatment of liver and kidney diseases be set up there.

He said people faced great difficulty when it came to the treatment of liver diseases. He said setting up a modern transplant and urology centre would not only benefit the people of Punjab but also other Pakistanis.
