Hate literature

The government must put this issue on priority so that dissemination of such hate-filled literature can be stopped.

ISLAMABAD: Maulana Abdul Aziz of Lal Masjid has filed an application in the Islamabad High Court demanding the withdrawal of a case registered against him in 2007. He was accused of distributing pamphlets that contained prohibited material. It was a clear violation of Section 144, which was imposed at that time. It is a sad reality that distribution of literature and pamphlets outside mosques has become a norm in Pakistan. Apart from hate speech, these reading materials are purposely designed to brainwash the youth to take up arms and wage jihad against the state. The government must put this issue on priority so that dissemination of such hate-filled literature can be stopped.
