Seventeen students injured in Balochistan University clash

QUETTA: Seventeen students were injured after clashes between members of two student organisations in Agriculture College Quetta and University of Balochistan.

In the aftermath, police have arrested eight students. Police officials say a clash erupted among the students over a passenger bus seat.

Thirteen students of the Agriculture College Quetta were injured. Later, another clash occured in the University of Balochistan with the same people involved. Four students were injured in this incident.

Police and FC personnel were called in to disperse the crowd and calm down the situation. The injured have been shifted to BMS Complex and Civil Hospital.

Balochistan University has been closed for three days while the hostels have been shut for an indefinite period of time.
