Amir and wife Faryal Makhdoom did attend the couple's Pakistan wedding in 2015. A UK reception could not be held earlier due to problems with Haroon's wife's visa. The lavish bash was held at Bolton FC's Macron Stadium where over 1,000 guests joined the Khans to partake in the festivities.

Earlier, Amir's 25-year-old wife had accused his sister of bullying her and claimed she was called names by her brother-in-law for undergoing plastic surgery. Faryal also shared an explicit photo of Haroon online for which she apologised later.

According to reports, the boxer has been having a tough time dealing with all the tension in the family. "The past few weeks have been incredibly difficult for Amir. He loves his wife but he loves his parents and his siblings too. He's also close to Haroon because both of them are boxers so to miss his wedding celebration has caused him some angst," a source said.
