Revamping plan: 1,224 nurses, 342 pharmacists to be recruited

LAHORE: Around 1,224 nurses and 342 pharmacists will be recruited at the District Headquarters (DHQ) and Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) hospitals to facilitate patients.

This was said by Punjab Minister for Primary and Secondary Healthcare Khawaja Imran Nazeer on Sunday.

The minister said these recruitments are part of the revamping plan of 25 DHQ and 15 THQ hospitals that is scheduled to be completed during the current year. He added that CT scan machines are also being provided at all DHQ hospitals under the public and private partnership programme.

Secretary Primary and Secondary Health Punjab Ali Jan Khan said that 993 nurses would be recruited for DHQ and 131 nurses for THQ hospitals. Similarly, 303 and 39 pharmacists would be appointed at DHQ and THQ hospitals respectively.

Applications for the recruitment of nurses and pharmacists have been called and their written test would be conducted through NTS .
