270-strong team to clean up Lahore

LWMC al Bayrak and Oz Pak would work with local government representatives to make the city a cleaner place

LAHORE: The local government and solid waste management firms will work together to clean the city for which a team consisting of 270 members has been constituted.

This was said by Lahore Mayor Col (retd) Mubashir Javaid on Monday while addressing the officials of solid waste management companies.

He said the Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC), al Bayrak and Oz Pak would work with local government representatives to make the city a cleaner place.

Mubashir added nine union councils would be cleaned every day and the cleanliness drive would continue till the last union council was cleaned.

The team will work in coordination with deputy mayors.

Ahmed | 7 years ago | Reply Clean as much as they can, an absolutely great step, but knowing the People I don't think the same places will remain clean for too long. Filth in thoughts and actions - lack of simple ethics.
