ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Bar Association (IBA) Tuesday demanded a case of kidnapping against police and district administration officials for ‘illegally’ detaining a lawyer who represented Tayyaba’s family. The call came as IBA observed a full-day strike on Tuesday to protest the detention of Raja Zahoorul Hassan, who represented Tayyaba’s family when they pardoned the judge and his family last week. He was allegedly picked up by the police on Friday and was not released till Sunday, after the child was recovered. “IBA condemns the Islamabad DC, the IGP, and Industrial Area SHO for keeping our member in habeas corpus without lodging an FIR,” said an IBA statement.
