It is not everyday that destiny smiles on one.

Who could better epitomise this than ‘chaiwala’ Arshad Khan. The social media sensation had been on a roll ever since a photo of his went viral on social media. From landing a modelling contract to bagging a film role, Arshad looked set for a dream run in the public gaze.

‘Chai wala’ Arshad Khan all set to leave for England for debut film project

Alas, some things are just not meant to be. In a rather surprising turn of events, word has it that Arshad has bid adieu to the high life.

“Arshad’s appearance in a recent photo shoot and Muskan Jay song Beparwai did not go down well with his family and peers,” the social media sensation’s manager Abdullah told The Express Tribune. He said Arshad had been under concerted pressure to distance himself from the world of entertainment.

India’s biryaniwala may be handsome but he’s got nothing on our chaiwala

“Since Arshad has quit showbiz, he looks set to return to the Islamabad dhaba he used to work at prior to his tryst with fame,” Abdullah said. He went on to add that Arshad was open to pursuing a career in journalism as that was the only kind of entertainment-related job his family had no issue with.

    I have a feeling that despite his fame, his handlers are taking advantage of his naivete and inexperience and not paying him for all these shoots/modeling – if he could negotiate a fee on his own terms I doubt he’d consider going back to a dhaba. Anyway, I hope that he does whatever he feels at peace with.Recommend

    For many this is “extremism”. For many more this is modesty and pleasing God by not living fame hungry life which would, at some point, definitely make one do all that certainly one is not supposed to do. Mundanity would never understand the whispers of hearts and would always misconstrue it with “extremism”. And it’s sad…Recommend

    Next time make your own tea coffee food at home. When you cannot respect the job of a dhaba wala, then you dont deserve to be there.Recommend

    @silver:
    I am an accounting manager. And have gone through (a lot of time). Loading and un-loading of goods to/from Godown and Trucks, when their were lack of labours. I’ve even made Chai a lot of time for me and colleagues. When you are Muslim then you have no issue for any kind of “HALAL” rizq. And Also Mr Silver. If there will be no halal jobs left for my children. I can let them work at Dhaba rather then stimulating with female models. PAKISTAN ZINDABADRecommend
