Islamabad police arrested nine people for begging on the street of the capital

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police have arrested suspects from various areas of the city and recovered liquor and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said on Wednesday.

Industrial Area police arrested a bootlegger Hameed and recovered 10 litres of liquor from his possession.

Separately, Bani Gala police apprehended Hussain Shah for possessing an illegal pistol.

Rise in Islamabad street crimes

Aabpara police recovered a 30 bore pistol from Shakeel Abbassi and a 12 gauge shotgun from Sohail Razzaq. In another incident, CIA police recovered a 9mm pistol from Sajid. Cases have been registered against these people and investigation was underway.

Meanwhile, Islamabad police arrested nine people for begging on the street of the capital.
