Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor - commonly referred to as 'Saifeena' - welcomed their first child on December 20th. As expected, the couple made headlines since little Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi's arrival.

Unfortunately, the hype hasn't all been positive. Saif and Kareena were already being criticised for their choice of name when a picture of the new mother kissing her baby on the head went viral. However, the picture - according to Indian Express - was a fake and a statement from Kareena's representative confirmed that.

Now, Indian website Pinkvilla has released a new image of the Nawab Khandaan and this time, it's all legit! The candid shot shows Saif leaning over his lady love and son, possibly in the act of giving a kiss.

While Taimur is Kareena's first child, Saif already has two children - daughter Sara and son Ibrahim - from his first marriage to actor Amrita Singh.

More photos of the couple bringing their newborn home have surfaced the media, and posted by Buzzfeed.

Nonetheless, 'Saifeena' were nice enough to release a joint statement for the media soon after delivery. “We are very pleased to share with you all the wonderful news of the birth of our son Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi, on the 20th of December, 2016," the statement read. "We would like to thank the media for the understanding and support they have given us over the last nine months and of course, especially our fans and well wishers for their continued affection. Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you all…With love, Saif and Kareena.”
