KARACHI: TDAP Chief Executive S M Muneer met with Halal Development Council (Pakistan) & International Halal Centre (UAE) CEO Asad Sajjad regarding Pakistan’s inability to get its share in the global Halal economy. The global Halal Food market alone is more than $600 per annum and the total Halal market including food and non-food products is over $3 trillion per annum.  Almost 80 - 85% of this trillion dollar turnover is in the hands of non-Muslim countries that enjoy the commercial benefit of the Halal market.  Many new comers are now entering this market, including Muslim and non-Muslim countries, who are working on a clear strategy on how to use the brand Halal to their advantage, but Pakistan is still standing at the same place with no clear strategy of what to do and how to do to get Pakistan a substantial share in global Halal Economy.
