Misbah raises Rs300,000 for fan’s medical treatment

The teenager has a hole in his heart and is set to undergo surgery

KARACHI: Pakistan Test captain Misbahul Haq raised Rs300,000 for a fan’s medical treatment in Lahore.

Rohaan, 16, requires the treatment to correct a hole in his heart. The 42-year-old started a campaign to raise funds, to enable him to undergo the surgery.

Misbah to return home from New Zealand mid-series

Misbah donated major chunk of the money himself as he handed the funds to Rohaan, whom previously met him during the 2015 World Cup.

However, the Test captain was unable to meet Rohaan this time as he was bound to leave for Australia.

Misbah discusses 50 matches as Test captain

Misbah first heard of the teen through his mentor Tahir Shah, who resides in the same locality as Rohaan.
