The film which was released earlier this year, also stars Mawra Hocane. The romantic film is directed by the duo Radhika Rao-Vinay Sapru.

Besides Sanam Teri Kasam, the festival, showcasing popular Indian movies for Russian viewers, includes superstar Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Salman Khan-starrer Sultan and the National-Award winning film Dum Laga Ke Haisha, among many others.

"When I did South Indian films, I never expected anyone to recognise me outside of south of India. And when I did a film in Bollywood, I was pleasantly taken aback when people recognised me from Sanam Teri Kasam in the South. And now the fact that Russian people are recognising me is a bigger and greater surprise," Harshvardhan said.
