Online management: K-P has 1,340 IT labs in schools

Provincial government had introduced an online action plan for ensuring teachers’ attendance

PESHAWAR: There are currently 1,340 IT labs in schools across Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and the provincial government has introduced an online management system in schools, the provincial minister for elementary and secondary education said on Saturday.

Muhammad Atif Khan was addressing an e-conference at the Sarhad University Peshawar. Previously, the number of IT labs in educational institutions stood at 179.

He also said that the provincial government had introduced an online action plan for ensuring teachers’ attendance.

Highlighting the PTI government’s efforts for initiating information technology education in educational institutions, he said that modern education was essential for ushering in an era of prosperity.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, he said, has assigned the highest priority to education, adding that it had achieved a record number of achievements in this field.
