ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) will indict suspects in the Dr Imran Farooq murder case on December 8, as the hearing of the case could not take place on Thursday.

ATC Judge Syed Kausar Abbas Zaidi was to hear the case in Adiala jail, but it was adjourned till December 8, without any proceeding. The three suspects — Khalid Shamim, Moazzam Ali and Mohsin Ali — were not produced in court in the last hearing due to security issues. On this, the court decided to conduct further proceedings in the jail.

On December 5, 2015, the FIA had registered a case against MQM chief Altaf Hussain and other party leaders for their alleged involvement in the 2010 murder of Dr Farooq.

The slain politician was stabbed and bludgeoned to death near his apartment in London, UK in September 2010.
