MULTAN: Veteran politician Javed Hashmi claimed on Saturday that he had predicted Donald Trump’s triumph in the US presidential election 14 years ago in his book.

Hashmi was talking to the media at Multan Press Club when he made the 'tall' claim of prophesying the recent results of the US presidential elections in which Republican candidate Donald Trump came off victorious against most favoured Democrat Hillary Clinton.

It was 16 years ago, when the creators of the famous satirical comedy TV show, The Simpsons, wrote an episode called Bart to the Future, with grown-up Lisa Simpson elected to the Oval Office after President Trump has tanked the economy.

Earlier this year Simpsons writer Dan Greaney explained why they had “predicted” a Trump presidency back in 2000. “It was a warning to America,” he said, adding, “What we needed was for Lisa to have problems beyond her fixing, that everything went as bad as it possibly could, and that’s why we had Trump be president before her.”

PTI’s ‘lockdown plan’ an attempt to harm CPEC, alleges Hashmi

The famous politician, who has remained affiliated with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), deplored the current global politics, saying that the American New World Order has 'died of its own death' as new blocs are  now emerging based on economies.

“Donald Trump would prove the worse than Gorbachev for Americans and it would disintegrate into different states,” Hashmi said, adding that with the president-elect at the helm now the era of destruction has started in the United States as the country is being divided on the basis of ethnicities and races.

He went on to say that India will also disintegrate owing to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s flawed policies.

The things Trump has said about Pakistan

“The day is not far off when India would also be divided into more than a dozen parts because Modi has sown the seed of hatred and disintegration,” he added.

Recommending a clever strategy to the statesmen, Hashmi advised that Pakistan, China, Russia and India should join hands for their survival since Pakistan is the only country which can ease the business of India with Afghanistan and Central Asian States.
