Penalty challenged: IHC adjourns Ayyan’s plea against fine

The court adjourned hearing of the case for two weeks

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) adjourned on Wednesday hearing of Ayyan Ali’s case against imposition of fine amounting to $500,000 by customs collector for two-weeks. Justice Athar Minallah heard the case of the super model who challenged the decision of custom collector in currency smuggling case.  During the proceedings, the court was informed that the counsel for Ayyan Ali in the case Sardar Latif Khosa could not attend the proceeding due to cases in the Supreme Court. On this, the court adjourned hearing of the case for two weeks.
